A month-long shooting schedule for Life of Pi happened at Puducherry right before her 10th-grade board exams and she has stated how grateful she will always be to her school who had only wanted to know if she would write her boards and had excused her long absences along with taking off the pressure by advising her to be realistic when aiming for her marks.

When Life of Pi was receiving the honors at the Oscars, Sharavanthi was unable to attend the ceremony with the rest of the movie’s crew as her examinations were going on.

She has affirmed that it was a fascinating experience to work with Ang Lee who had made her realize that sooner or later, hard work always gets appreciated.
